As usual, I arrived just after the first band (Gilbert Switzer) but the party was still going, and Attack Mode at least had not played yet. House shows are possibly my favourite setting to photograph bands in. The feeling of seeing a band in such a small, crowded space verges on surreal, and at the same time really highlights the best parts of a small independant scene like this. Here's some photos of Attack Mode tearing shit up, followed by some documentation of the rest of the evening. (the rest of the evening until I wussed out and went home in the rain, that is.) |
Optimuscrime PHOTO:
Wherein readers will find that they will be required to do less reading, and more looking, which is arguably easier, and can sometimes be more enjoyable. And wherein the Author of Optimuscrime Halifax can publish his photographs in a seperate forum, so as not to interrupt the Optimuscrime blog-flow. All photography by Paul Hammond, Halifax, Nova Scotia. |
