After an unsuccessful, and largely unenjoyable attempt to "see" Death From Above the previous night at the Attic, Mark Black and I trodded down to the Pavilion for a second chance, partially in hopes that I could take some photographs with my fancy new flash. Using our suspect Halicred, we managed to snake our way into the place, and this time, actually enjoy DFA's set, while I successfully captured some ultra-wide shots. (Catano says they look straight out of a 1993 skate mag. He may be right, but I think they're cool. Maybe for that reason.) There's a more thorough review of both shows back on the regular old OptimusCrime Hali. editor's note: Remind us never to edit, prepare, and upload photos from the computer at work, who's monitor is totally effed up and displays colour like a friggin' idiot, so that when we get home, we have to spend an hour re-doing it all so our photographs don't look like total ass, and we look like art-school hacks. (No offense to art-school hacks. We loves you, we swears.) |
Optimuscrime PHOTO:
Wherein readers will find that they will be required to do less reading, and more looking, which is arguably easier, and can sometimes be more enjoyable. And wherein the Author of Optimuscrime Halifax can publish his photographs in a seperate forum, so as not to interrupt the Optimuscrime blog-flow. All photography by Paul Hammond, Halifax, Nova Scotia. |
